IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists. <br> The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility. <br> The Software Engineer II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for developing Java based applications on AWS cloud. <br> This position is part of the Clinical Informatics (CIT) located in Bangalore, India and will be hybrid. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time. <br> You will be a part of the DxONE Insights team and report to the Engineering Manager responsible for developing Java based applications for an Analytics product on AWS Cloud. If you thrive in a fast paced role and want to work to build a world-class R&D organization—read on. <br><br> In this role, you will have the opportunity to: <br>- Designing, developing and testing of Beckman Coulter’s next generation analytics software products. <br>- Perform Backend/Java development. <br>- Provide effort estimates for implementation <br>- Support in exploring new technologies for POCs. <br>- Take ownership, deliver on time, and drive end-to-end quality - effective automation of unit level, component level and system level testing following Agile lean software development processes. <br>- Troubleshoot issues in production environment as they arise and appropriate resolution <br>- Understand and manage integration points with other systems that interface with your applications <br>- Demo of MVPs to Product manager/stakeholders to collect feedback/improvements. <br>- Support code merging and branching strategy, automated unit tests, automated builds, and deployments <br>- Partner with other teams to provide exceptional solutions that adhere to, or create, standards across teams. <br>- Attend morning/night meetings with global team in multiple locations on a regular basis. <br>- Minimal travel as needed <br><br> The essential requirements of the job include: <br>- 0-3 years of experience in developing high performance, highly scalable, database driven web applications <br>- 0-3 years of experience in Spring, Hibernate, Java based enterprise software framework ecosystem. <br>- Hands on experience in web services and SOA related standards like REST/JSON. <br>- Understanding OAuth 2.0 and hands on implementation. <br>- Strong in SQL/NoSQL (MongoDb) and database design <br>- Have worked extensively with REST API/JSON <br>- Skilled with computer science fundamentals, Data Structures, algorithms, Object Oriented Concepts and Design Patterns. <br>- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills <br>- A strong awareness in software security <br>- Keen business judgment, focus, and ability to see the "big picture" and prioritize <br>- Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed and organized <br>- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment <br>- Experience in understanding large and complex code cases, including API design techniques to help them clean and maintainable. <br><br> It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: <br>- Understanding of Hive on Spark engine & internals of HBase is good to have. <br>- Programming in Python is a plus <br>- Azure DevOps <br>- Agile Scrum Experience <br>- Basic understanding of Statistics <br>- CI and CD – Jenkins <br>- Healthcare Informatics, regulated environment background is desirable. <br><br> At Beckman Coulter Diagnostics we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce.
