About the Job
Cvent is a global leader in meetings, events, and hospitality technology, serving over 22,000 customers, including 53% of the Fortune 500. As a Data Warehouse Intern, you’ll join our innovative team of Snowflake Developers and Team Leads to build and maintain cutting-edge data warehouse solutions using Snowflake. This role offers hands-on experience in SQL development, ETL processes, and CICD pipelines with tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, and DBT. At Cvent, we champion intrapreneurship, empowering you to think boldly and contribute to transformative technology that connects millions worldwide.
Cvent, a trailblazing software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider in the meetings, events, and hospitality sectors, was founded in September 1999 by Reggie Aggarwal in Tysons Corner, Virginia—a suburb of Washington, D.C. Aggarwal, a former lawyer, drew inspiration from the cumbersome event-planning process he encountered while organizing hundreds of events for a non-profit. Frustrated by spreadsheets and sticky notes, he envisioned a digital platform to streamline the chaos. Today, headquartered at 1765 Greensboro Station Place in Tysons, Cvent employs over 5,000 people globally and serves more than 24,000 customers, including 60% of the Fortune 500.
At its core, Cvent’s mission is to unite the entire events ecosystem—planners, venues, suppliers, and attendees—to foster collaboration, simplify operations, and amplify impact. The company champions ethical practices, environmental sustainability, and an inclusive culture, ensuring technology drives positive change. Its all-in-one platform supports in-person, virtual, hybrid, and webinar events, handling everything from small meetings to massive conferences. Key offerings include:
- Event Management Suite: Tools for registration, marketing, attendee engagement, mobile apps, and ROI analytics.
- Venue Sourcing: The Cvent Supplier Network, connecting users to 340,000 hotels and sourcing over $17 billion in annual events business.
- Hospitality Solutions: Software for hotels to manage group bookings, corporate travel, and sales optimization.
- Insights and Integration: Real-time reporting, AI-driven automation, and seamless connections with CRM and productivity tools.
Cvent’s journey is marked by bold growth. In 2011, it secured $136 million from New Enterprise Associates—the largest U.S. software investment since 2007—fueling 50% annual expansion. It went public on the NYSE in 2013, raising $117.6 million at a $1 billion valuation. Acquired by Vista Equity Partners in 2016 for $1.65 billion, it merged with Lanyon to bolster its portfolio. Relisting on Nasdaq in 2021, Cvent was snapped up again in 2023 by Blackstone for $4.6 billion, valuing it at $5.3 billion. Recent moves include the April 2025 acquisition of Prismm for enhanced productivity software and partnerships like BeCause for sustainable hotel data integration.
As the world’s largest event tech firm, Cvent powers scalable, data-rich experiences that save time and boost ROI. With 24/7 support from 1,500 experts and a vibrant user community, it remains indispensable for planners navigating a post-pandemic hybrid world. Looking ahead, innovations in AI and webinars position Cvent for continued dominance in a $1.5 trillion industry.
