Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in multimedia/embedded technologies.
- Working experience of Image or Video Quality metrics development, Algorithm optimizations.
- Solid knowledge of Digital/image processing/Camera.
- Working experience with image processing algorithms. Background in color science and image signal processor pipelines is a plus.
- Knowledge/working experience in computer vision algorithms.
- Experience in development of Image Quality metrics or tuning on Camera Sensor tuning is added plus.
- Experienced working with real time/embedded systems is a plus.
- Programming skills in C/C++, MATLAB, Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of and experience in Camera Image Quality tuning, Experience in Linux camera sensor driver bring-up.
- Knowledge /Experience of 3A algorithms and Image Signal Processor ( Camera Hardware ) tuning experience.
- Have experience with Objective Image Quality evaluation metric using tools like IMATEST, IQ Analyzer Etc is a Plus.
- Experience in Working in Imaging Lab with various Test charts and lighting setups.
- Working experience with image/camera/Signal processing algorithms.
- Working experience with Android/linux Camera/Embedded systems.
- Preferred: Master degree of Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

About the Job
Join Qualcomm India’s growing Multimedia Software team in Hyderabad and contribute to cutting-edge camera and imaging solutions that power the world’s most advanced mobile devices. As an Engineer in Camera Software Tuning, you will be part of a systems team developing embedded camera technologies, image quality metrics, advanced 3A algorithms (Auto Exposure, Auto Focus, Auto White Balance), and ISP pipelines. Successful candidates will work on image signal processor optimization, sensor tuning, algorithm enhancements, and integration with motion sensors, video encoders, DSPs, GPU, and display subsystems. This role offers opportunities to innovate in mobile, XR, and AR imaging while collaborating with global teams and external customers to deliver superior image quality at optimal performance and power efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of Camera fundamentals, 3A Algorithms, ISP modules, Optics, Color Science.
- 3A + ISP image quality tuning to achieve desired Image Quality.
- Image Quality metric development for mobile/XR/AR devices.
- Evaluating ISP hardware and software modules, finding best optimized settings for given sensor.
- Deeper investigation into existing modules and come up interfaces that could simplify the tuning.
- Identify and improve existing algorithms for better user experience.
- Debugging and troubleshooting existing software and Image Quality issues.
- Partnering with global development team and external customers.
